Hey guys, how’s it going? I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend and cosying up with a book now that the weather’s gone colder… Tastes so nice, doesn’t it? *_*
So, last time we talked I’d taken a step back from blogging and reading for a bit… However, now that I’ve fully recovered from my slump and burn-out, it’s time to announce my N.E.W.T.s results!
Last week I read 0 books but I did manage to read three this final week. Not too bad! 🙂

The links below will take you to the reviews:
What went right…
I LOVED The Dream Hunters. It was just the perfect book to wrap up this readathon and left me with so many feels ❤
What went wrong…
I wasn’t too active on the blogosphere. I didn’t post anything last week and I didn’t get to do a lot of blog hopping.
I also didn’t read as much as I wished… As for the other two books that I did read, they just weren’t great and made my semi-slump even worse!
Books I’m currently reading…
Friday was the last day of the readathon so there are no more books to read from my list!
I don’t think I’ll read any of the ones left, to be honest, at least not in the near future, as I do want to get into some Christmas stories (yay!) and catch up on my ARCs.
Conclusion
So as you can see, I almost got it all done. Almost. I mean, I only failed three subjects out of twelve and reached Oustanding in half of them. So pretty good!
Now, a BIG shout out to my readathon babes:
Steph | Melissa | Lily (our honorary member!)
I loved sharing this experience with you and even if we didn’t interact as much as I would’ve liked, it was still soooo lovely to have reading buddies and setting goals and just having fun and freaking out when things got dire.
As for the rest of you, thank you all so much for sticking with me this entire time! 😀 ❤ You guys rock and your encouragement has allowed me to pull through this huge challenge without (almost) breaking a sweat 😉
There will be no more readathons until the end of the year (thank the Gods) but if you do want to get a taste of the OWLs/NEWTs, G from Book Roast is hosting something during Christmas time so be sure to check that out!
That’s it for today and I hope to see you all next week 🙂
What a huge undertaking! You did great, Sophie, and had a lot of great recommendations for your followers. I’m looking forward to your Christmas list. 🙂

You did really well during this readathon Sophie. 🙂 Also congrats on getting through three books this week, I’ve said this before probably but you got way more read this month and this past week than I did. 😀
I haven’t read The Dream Hunters, but I’ve loved all of Neil Gaiman’s other books that I’ve picked up so I’ll have to add that one to my to-read list, honestly he’s written so many books I have trouble keeping up at times. I’m glad to see you managed to get through Magic Dreams in the end but it seems like you didn’t like that one as much as you have the other Ilona Andrews books you’ve released. Did you still enjoy it somewhat at least?
Great post, and again you did great with this readathon. 🙂 ❤

Thank you, Beth! Hahaha they were really short books though so it was easy to go through them (I felt like my attention span required so)
I have no doubt in my mind you will love The Dream Hunters as well! It’s perfect for any Neil Gaiman/mythology fan, trust me. It was just so sweet and sad and just, agh, it was lovely ❤ I stumbled upon it by accident, otherwise I would probably not even know it existed! You're right, there are too many of him xD (Not that I'm complaining, I only complain about not being able to read them all!)
I didn't, no, but that's probably not the book's fault in the end… I guess I'm just to used to Kate Daniels as a narrator/main character and no other can compare to her! (Well, maybe Curran) It was still good, the plot was definitely up to par with most of what Andrews writes and the writing as well, it was just the POV that didn't quite click with me I think.
Thanks again, my lovely! ❤ Glad you enjoyed it 😊

That’s all right, and sometimes short books are just what you need. I have some I’m hoping to get through this month (also because they’ll help me catch up on my GR goal quicker).
I want to re-read some of Neil Gaiman’s books this month (mainly Stardust because I love that one) so maybe I can add Dream Thieves to my list as well.
Yeah I know what you mean, sometimes when you’re so used to a couple of characters or just one POV it can be a little jarring when you read a book in the same world but from a different characters perspective. I’ve had that a few times myself.
That’s all right, and thanks. 🙂 ❤

Oh good luck with that, then! 😀 I have Stardust on my TBR as well but never got around to it… I guess I need to give it a try soon 🙂
Yeah I think that was mainly it. Because overall the story was all right and the characters weren’t so bad either. But I really wanted to get back to the main story and figure out what they were up to hahaha
No worries ❤

Yeah, but I know all too well what mountain TBR problems we can have as bookworms/book bloggers. 🙂
Hopefully you’ll enjoy the next in the series you pick up more. 🙂 ❤

I’m fairly confident I will. Andrews still hasn’t disappointed me, at least when it comes to Kate, as each book seems to get better and better! 😊❤️

You did amazing and definitely deserve a round of applause. I can’t even imagine taking on such an ambitious goal. I hope December if filled with some really good reads and that that semi-slump feel disappears completely.

Thanks, Alicia! That’s really nice of you to say ^^ It was ambitious for sure, but left me wanting to hibernate for the rest of winter hahaha
I really like this time of the year. It’s perfect to cosy up with fluffy books, which might just cure me completely. Fingers crossed! 🙂

If you ask me, this was still a pretty incredible readathon with the number of books you were able to squeeze in and to pass that many tests. Don’t worry about not blog hopping and what not as much as you wish you could, the important is that you enjoy what you do and that you take care of yourself before anything else! Hope you get to read some great Christmas’y books this month! 🙂

Aw, thanks Lashaan! I can always count on yor kind comments to make me feel better ^^ It was certainly an accomplishment though I wished I could have read aaaaallll the books hahaha Which would be close to impossible but hey, a girl can dream 😛
Yeah definitely, but I also want to show some love!!! And I like going around reading other people’s posts, though sometimes I’m unable to do it…
Thank you so much, I hope you have a wonderful December yourself! Will I be reading some Christmasy posts on your blog? Say yes 😀

I’m currently reading The Afterlife of Holly Chase and it’s a Christmasy book! I’m enjoying it so far – the plot is a bit strange, but the writing is fun and light! You should check it out if you are looking for a Christmas book to read.

Oh, I’ve started that one too! I don’t really like Holly so far or what she does but I’m hopeful she’ll get a nice redemption arc. I mean, that’s the whole purpose of the story after all.
But yeah, it started a bit too gloomy for my taste and I was looking for something a bit more feel-good so I’ve been reading a fluffy romance in between xD
Thanks for the rec, though! I hope you continue to enjoy it and I’d really like to know what you think about it in the end 🙂 Are you planning to review it on your blog? Hope so!

I just finished this book yesterday! I thought it was about 3 stars – but have you finished it yet???? I don’t want to say anything that might spoil it 🙂

No, not yet! I’ve been reading other books in the meantime as it wasn’t really doing it for me… I mean, I’m intrigued but something just hasn’t clicked yet. I will give it another go sometime soon, though!
But too bad it was only 3 stars for you 🙁 I wanted it to be amazing, especially when it had such a promising start! 😩

Yeah, the idea behind the book was so fresh and interesting! But I guess that happens sometimes *le sigh*
