Oh God, has it been a week already since I last posted? I’M SO SORRY! I’M A TERRIBLE BLOGGER T_T

Because I’m super behind on my reading (terrible blogger part two), I couldn’t get my review ready in time… However, I do have a lot of tags on hold so I just thought I’d do one of them for you guys 😀

I was tagged by two lovely ladies Laura @thebookcorps and Alicia @ The Grumpy Librarian to do this. Thanks so much! ❤ And please visit their blogs if you haven’t, yet!

Reading on the couch or on the bed? 

Most of my reading is done late at night, when I’m already in bed. So yeah, bed.

Male main character or female main character?

I enjoy both. I guess I can relate more to female ones but I do love a different perspective on things so male MCs are awesome as well.

Sweet snacks or salty snacks?

I prefer sweet snacks (of course) but I don’t usually eat anything while reading.

Trilogies or quartets?

It really depends. Sometimes one book is more than enough. Sometimes four are not even close!

First person POV or third POV?

I’m very picky about this. I usually hate first person POV (unless it’s done really well). So third person POV all the way.

Reading at night or in the morning?

As answered previously, I usually read at night since that’s when I get some free time. But I like it in the morning too!

Libraries or bookstores?

To read? Libraries. To buy? Bookstores. Both bring me such peace of mind, though.

Books that make you laugh or books that make you cry?

Laugh! I hate anything that makes me remotely sad hahaha

Black book covers or white covers?

I’m not too peculiar about either… I guess black covers look kind of classier and elegant? But it really depends on the cover.

Character driven or plot driven?

Again, I like both. It depends on the story and what best suits it.

      1. Black covers, hhhmm, ah, well, you see I’m currently reading Tyrant’s Throne by Sebastien de Castell, it’s the last book in The Greatcoats series and it has predominantly white covers (UK, I believe the US are a weird yellowish colour), white background with a coloured font and character to be precise, understated but awesome covers so I could prefer white to black. The nice, clean, crisp, pureness of unsoiled white, see, if I was answering that question there’d be all sorts of un-PC answers to it!😂

        They were great answers! I presumed that you were being sarcastic or joking about the bad blogger bit at the beginning, not everyone posts each day and reads a book a day either but if not, not blogging consistently each day doesn’t make you or anyone else a bad blogger.😀

        1. Hahaha fair enough! I checked them out and they are pretty but not my absolute cup of tea. I do like some white covers too, but it’s the black ones that feel the most aesthetically pleasing. Maybe because of the contrasting colors and how they have a certain eeriness to them. If that makes sense? Not all are like that but most, anyway.
          Erm, not quite sarcastic, no XD I like to be consistent and organized so when I’m not, it totally irks me. I was exaggerating a bit, I guess, as I wouldn’t think that way about other people, just myself hahaha
          So don’t worry, you are all awesome bloggers in my book! 😛

  2. I really hope you were being sarcastic about the “terrible blogger part”. But just in case you were not:you are NOT a terrible blogger lol. Sometimes real life just catches up to you. I can relate. I really don’t have a regular blogging schedule, but just write whenever I can and feel like it. So really no worries about that. This was another fun post, abd I really enjoyed your answers to these questions 😊

      Yeah, life can get preeeety crazy sometimes. I guess I just need to organize my time a little better. I try to be consistent with my posting (every Monday and Thursday) but because I don't really plan that far ahead, sometimes I end up skipping a day or a week…
      I guess you should just do what best words for you! 🙂 I used to do that too but then it can get even more chaotic hahaha So yeah, I try to keep a schedule 😉

  6. Thank you for doing my tag and spreading the love ❤ I used to read at night a lot as well… But I prefer reading in the morning cause I just like reading on natural sunlight, it's so much better than the yellowish nightlights…

      I love reading in the morning as well, especially if I’m outside and it’s sunny and warm and nice… Natural sunlight is the best! But there’s hardly the time to do that, unfortunately :/

  7. Loved your answers! I read at night too! I like black covers more than white covers. Eating while reading is definitely NO for me. I mostly prefer books that makes me laugh but sometimes I also like to check out emotional reads not the tragic ones though.

      I honestly feel so bad when I haven't checked your blog out in a while… But I have so little free time lately, it's a constant struggle! I try to make up for it as soon as I can, though 🙂
      I know! It would make so much more sense XD But my brain is an idiot and thinks it's wiser to stay up all night instead of resting, and then feel super sleepy and non-productive in the morning. Ugh.

Sure thing! ^^ Oh yeah, I totally get you… Night time is great because it’s quiet and I have some free time, but lately I’m just so tired I end up falling asleep soon after opening the book XD Mornings are too chaotic for the me to try to do anything, unless I wake up super early (which I rarely do)… And weekends are just as busy hahaha

  11. Thank you for tagging me! I did this tag recently, but I’m currently stockpiling on tags, so when I get to do it again, it’ll probably be late June. But I do plan on doing this tag, it’s really fun to make! Also thank you for thinking of me, you always tag me for the best stuff and I appreciate it! (Psst, keep doing it, haha! 😂) Great answers! I used to like first person POVs a lot, but I read more 3rd person books than I can count, and I’ve come to like them a lot more. Also I’m a night reader too! (There isn’t enough time in the day anymore. T^T)

      Me too, I used to read so many first POV books I may have developed a deep hatred for them LOL Maybe because they weren’t really well done and included some of the worst, most whiny characters ever? Hmm. I’m glad to have moved on to better books hahaha
      Reading at night can go either two ways: peaceful, quiet and very productive, or me falling asleep soon after and not reading anything at all XD Oh well!

      1. Exactly! Some 1st POVs aren’t done well, or the character doesn’t sit well with me, that’s why I prefer 3rd a bit more. And I’ve either read productively at night, or fallen asleep trying. 😅 So you’re not alone on that division. And no problem!

    Oh I used to read at night, but then I got busy and become too tired ahah. I miss those late night reading sessions!! 🙈 Ooh black or white covers 🤔 I have favourites in both but black ones are so lovely! I LOVE snacks, sweet ones are my favourites too haha. (CHOCOLATE 😍) I occasionally eat while reading? But not often. Thank you so much for the tag, Sophie!!

      I like consistency, though, and when I'm not being consistent, I cringe inside T_T But I'll try to not be so hard on myself, especially because I don't hold it against other bloggers when they don't post regularly (or are, otherwise, inconsistent). So, I need to chill, basically XD
      Lately, that's been my course of action, really! I go to bed, get ready to read, and then… Fall asleep. Like, dead asleep. Ugh.
      Yay, we have so many tastes in common! 😀 Oh, chocolate, you're one of mine, girl! XD

  25. I see we like many of the same thing: read in bed, sweet snacks, books that makes us laugh 🙂 and yes, we need both plot and characters. A book is not interesting with one and not the other 🙂 Love your answers Sophie!
