facts

  1. I have thalassophobia, which means I’m scared of the sea and other large bodies of water – or rather, of going into them. I’m usually fine with pools, though.
  2. I have hyper-mobility in all of my toes.
  3. I once cut my finger on a hand blender when my mom wasn’t looking. Served me right for being a curious moron hahaha (ok, so I was five… but still)

questions

Sam’s

Favourite energy drink? e.g. V, Rockstar… If you are lame and don’t drink them 😉 just favourite normal drink I suppose.. 🙂

I’m lame and totally don’t like energy drinks hahaha! Sorry Sam… My favorite is probably AriZona.

Pizza or burritos? Please be aware that you will be judged on your answer 🙂

Pizza! I do like burritos, but pizza is just the best thing ever and so versatile!

What is your favourite Disney movie?

The Lion King, probably. I cry like a baby, every time.

“House on Fire” Thanks to Cate @ Midnight Biblio Blog for the idea 🙂 You have four options! One gets to jump out the window, One is able to get out the door, One gets to go to bed next door with you (Little odd but we’ll run with it) and one has to burn in the fire… Y’all ready for this?? Your boys are The Pretty Little Liars boys… Ezra, Caleb, Toby and Jason. Choose wisely!!! You will be judged on your choices 😉

pll.png

Alright, so Jason totally burns in the fire! And Ezra gets out the door. Toby (who I really don’t care much for, but hey, doesn’t deserve to burn in the fire either) jumps out the window… Whether he makes it down in one piece or not, that’s not my problem xD And Caleb, of course, goes to bed next door with me. Hope Hannah doesn’t mind! I hear he’s a cuddler.

Weird: If you had to switch bodies with someone of the opposite gender. Who would it be? And what would be the first thing you would do?

Hmm… I never actually thought about this. Ryan Reynolds, I guess? I would totally put on his Deadpool suit, wear it literally everywhere for the rest of the day and troll people.

Mandy’s

A Must Have Question: favorite Disney Princess? If you’re not a fan of the Princesses (le gasp), favorite Disney movie? 😉

I can’t really choose… But I love Rapunzel, Ariel and Mulan!

What is the first book you remember reading? Did you like it?

I don’t remember that well which one it was but I sure remember loving it!

Have you always loved reading? Is there a time where you ever quit?

Yes, I always loved reading. There was definitely a time when I read less but never a time when I completely quit reading.

If you were stuck on a desert island (happens all the time), what three to five books would you take with you?

Wuthering Heights, Full Metal Panic! and the best survival guide ever written at that point.

If you could go anywhere in the world (or outside of it), where would you go?

Right now, I’d go to Japan or New Zealand!

divider

Eva’s

Have you read I’ll give you the sun by Jandy Nelson? If yes, what did you think about it?

Not yet, no.

Is there a book you wish had never been written?

That’s a bit harsh but maybe Fifty Shades of Grey. The entire series. Just no.

What book would you recommend to me?

I recommend the Sevenwaters series to everyone, so yes, do read it if you enjoy Celtic fantasy!

Do you have a reading goal for 2017?

Yes, same as last year: 60 books.

Random: What is a random word you really like?

I really like the word “bumblebee”. It’s so cute.

divider

Icebreaker694’s

First book you read in 2017.

The Assassin and the Underworld by Sarah J. Maas.

What’s the last fandom you joined in?

Oh my… I have too many fandoms to keep track! But I think it was The Grisha one?

Best GIF or Meme of last year.

Man, this is tough… But I’ll have to go with Joe Biden/Obama memes. Friendship goals right there!

A special skill that you have that you’re proud of.

Well, I can type super fast with my eyes closed. Is that a thing? It’s the only one that comes to mind, really.

Random: It’s the zombie apocalypse, which book are you okay with throwing at the zombies?

I have a copy of My Sister’s Keeper that I’d definitely throw at the zombies. I’d also toss Divergent in (sorry). Every other disposable book is in my Kindle, and that one is definitely NOT being thrown anywhere.

myquestions

  1. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate or white chocolate? Be honest.
  2. The first fictional character you ever fell in love with?
  3. If you could talk to someone who’s already passed away, who would it be and what would you talk about? (Not counting family members or friends)
  4. You discovered a new planet. What do you name it and why?
  5. Weird: A genie will grant you the thing you want most in the world, but you will lose the thing you are most proud of/most treasure about yourself in the process. Would you still accept the wish?

  1. OMG, I was dying over that PLL answer. SO random, but it was amazing. Caleb is totally the right choice just saying. 😉 AND OMG. The Joe Biden and Obama memes were so much perfection. Just give me all the friendship bracelets. And your facts were super intense. Evil blenders. D: This was a fantastic post, Sophie! It was so much fun! 😀 And psssst…your Princess favorites are epic. 😉

    1. Hahahaha my facts are always pretty awkward 😆 Sorry about that!
And right??? Obama and Biden forever ❤ And of course Caleb! He was always my PLL crush, from the very beginning.
Thank you so much! 😄 Oh yeah? I passed the princess test?? OMG! I’m so happy!! 😍

      1. LOL. They just got intense real fast, but still great. XD
And yessssss. I never realized how real it all was before the memes. And sameeeeeeeeee. The broodiness sold me. ❤ Did you watch Ravenswood with him?
And absolutely – with flying colors…or should I say like Colors in the Wind?

  2. Thanks so much for nominating us! I’ll add your questions whenever I have time to our blog post!
Your answers were very interesting! I agree with you that pizza is better (I do not like burritos honestly) and 50 Shades of Grey should never have been written (who would enjoy that type of stuff?). I hope you complete your reading goal!!! Mine is 52 (1 per week) but I’m so busy I’m unsure if I’ll beat last year’s total (64)! 😂 I think I will! 😊

    Liked by 1 person

    1. No problem! 😊 And thanks, I don’t know what to say half the time but it usually turns out OK hahaha
A lot of people did like 50 Shades of Grey, taking from the book and movie sales… Shocking but yeah 😆
Thank you, you too! I think one book per week is pretty achievable, even for the busiest of people. But I think the most important thing is to enjoy your reading experience and not worry about the numbers 😉 Good luck!

      Liked by 1 person

      1. Thanks so much! And definitely! Reading experience is really important!
Plus, I’m finally getting to read books in English! Woo hoo! Next is Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, basically about a guy who turns into a beetle… I don’t know if I’ll like it 😂 But we did finish Animal Farm 😉

                1. Hahahahaha I’m actually not the best person to give recommendations. I can definitely acknowledge their worth and quality but I’m not a big classics fan or anything.
But definitely look up lists online and start there 😊 Goodreads is also a great place to look. And even if you don’t like all of them, there’s a good chance you’ll like some!

  3. Congratulations on the award, Sophie! And thank you for thinking of me.
I loved reading your answers! Atleast you’re finally catching up on the nominations. I have a lot of pending award posts, and procrastinating has only helped me forget who all nominated me. I will have to do some serious digging to be able to catch up lol

I’ve never heard of thalassophobia before. But it sounds very intriguing. Does it also involve being afraid to step on boats and ships?

Typing with eyes closed is a real talent I’ve always wanted to excel at. You have my admiration for being able to do so!

Blender and hand is definitely not the best combination! Kinda reminds me of those gory TV series (Jessica Jones, to be precise), but I’m glad you didnt cut any other part on the go.

Thanks again for nominating me! Loved your answers. Keep going! 🙂

    1. Hahaha trust me, if I didn’t keep a list of all the nominations and tags I get, I’d never be able to keep up with them! You should try that ^^ It really helps.
I’m a bit hesitant to get into boats and the like, but it’s not too bad. Because I’m not touching the ocean at all. I guess I just have a problem with what’s lurking underwater, if that makes sense? Such as animals and such. I get hyper creeped out when I can’t see the bottom or all around me 😆 (I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it!)
For the record, I don’t know when I got this phobia because I used to love the beach, etc.
I don’t have any great skills so I just remembered that one trick… Thanks! Makes me feel better hahaha
Haven’t watched Jessica Jones yet but I heard it’s pretty great 🙂 Not a big fan of gore though!
No problem, your blog is awesome and well-deserving of praise! Thank you so much for reading, Ava 😊❤

      1. I’ve started making a list these days, and it really is helping me keep track.

Ohh I cannot imagine how scary it must be for you.

Jessica Jones is a nice TV series. But it does have a lot of gore. There was this one scene where a man puts his hand in a blender which was gory as heck! I think I could have done without seeing it haha.

Aw this made me smile! Your blog is amazing too, and I love all your posts. Your new graphics totally go with the theme of the blog and they look awesome! 🙂
        You’re very welcome, Sophie! 💙

        1. Oh yeah I wouldn’t have been able to watch that for sure! I’m pretty squeamish. But I like Krysten Ritter, she’s really cool 😊
It’s scary but I generally avoid those types of situations so I don’t have to go through it much. Do you have any phobias, by the way?
Thank you! I’m trying new stuff with the blog, see where it all leads… I’m so so happy you like it, means a lot to me! ❤

          Liked by 1 person

          1. I’m pretty squeamish too. I’m surprised I managed to finish the series! But it was pretty CAPTIVATING. Krysten Ritter is definitely cool. But I also really like David Tenant!

I don’t have any phobias so far, maybe that’s why I get so curious about these things. Not that I want to have a phobia, but I am just curious to know how it feels like lol.

You’re so very welcome! You’re doing great and like I said, it looks amazing. Keep it up! ❤

            1. Oh yeah I forgot he was in it too! He’s brilliant! I loved him as the Doctor ^^
And don’t worry, phobias are not fun at all hahaha You’re definitely not missing out 😜
Thank you so much! I love your blog as well! It’s so cute and clean 😊 I really enjoy reading your special features, as I’ve mentioned before, too. So do continue the awesome work! 😉

              Liked by 1 person

              1. David Tenant is amazing! I’m a huge Doctor Who fangirl, and he is one of my favourite doctors! His character in Jessica Jones was very different from the doctor, but he absolutely nailed it! And well, I found myself shipping him with Jessica lol. I know I’m an insane shipper haha.
Thanks a ton! This means a lot. I have a few posts in mind but I don’t know when I’ll be able to write them, as my exams are just around the corner. But I’ll try my best!

                1. Oh I can’t wait to read them! I’m sure they won’t disappoint 😊
Yeah I always ship the least likely pairings too… Or the least popular ones… Sigh.
He’s an amazing actor so he’ll be great in any role, I think!

  4. Congratulations on the award and thanks for nominating me! I’ll have to try to get to it when I can.

I loved reading your answers as usual. You know, I went and started using Kindle recently. Devoured a book I once had but misplaced so that was fun haha. I’ve been missing out!

What are your favorite toppings to put on a pizza? Thin crust or normal or deep dish? What’s the highest price you’ll pay for a slice? Wooow I’m sounding like a pizza maniac with these questions haha.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Thank you! And no problem, I hope you enjoy doing it as much as I did 😊
Yes, Kindle is great! Well, any type of e-reader I think, is pretty cool. It’s just so convenient and practical. My life just wouldn’t be the same without it (or at least I would feel like something was definitely missing).
Hahahaha that’s one hell of a pizza query 😆 Let’s see… Thick crust (not necessarily deep dish) is definitely my favorite. For toppings I always go for different types of cheese, salami, salmon, pineapple, seafood, mushrooms, sweet peppers, pesto… I like to try out different stuff. I really don’t like artichokes, olives, anchovies or spicy stuff, though.
I don’t have a specific price limit, I guess. Quality usually isn’t that price related, so I tend to just go for what I feel like I might like 😊
      What about you?

      Liked by 1 person

      1. Oh, I did, don’t worry ꒰⑅°꒳°꒱
Mmm they’re great, but…something about physical copies of books are hard to beat. Then again, e-readers are so convenient!

Wahaha I had to know! Mmm those all sound great on a pizza (but I’ve yet to try salmon on pizza. Seems yummy, though). Fair enough with the toppings you dislike. I can’t say I care for anchovies.

That’s a good mindset! I brought that up because I ended up going to the Pizza My Heart my ex took me when I was visiting San Jose last month. My roommates were dubious at the price for a single slice (around 5 dollars) but I enjoyed it enough to be satisfied.

Aside form anchovies, I think I’ll accepted any kind of toppings. Except maybe banana peppers. One sour encounter left me sour to the idea (you don’t have to laugh out of pity).

I’m not picky really about the crust either. But since thin-crust gives you less bang for your buck I’m drawn to thicker crusts. Oh, but I do like the Red Baron French bread pizzas, wahaha

        Liked by 1 person

        1. That’s true, physical books do provide a homier feeling. Just wish they could be more portable and comfortable to read though…
Yeah exactly! More pizza for the same price is a no-brainer for me hahaha
I rarely put a price on food, but it has to be worth it.
So if you enjoyed that pizza, awesome! Once in a while it’s totally fine and life’s too short not to eat good food 😛 I’m a big follower of the treat yo’ movement hahaha

          1. Mmm. Big tradeoffs are being made here…

Gotta get the bang for your buck and buds, haha!
Mmm it was pretty great. I didn’t regret getting two slices for breakfast, actually, haha. So yay, I’m good at eating myself broke~
It’s a strong and praiseworthy movement, I have to say c:

Oh it was pretty shallow I guess but there was a lot of blood at the time xD My mom and I freaked out so bad, but in the end I guess it was nothing to be concerned about 🙂

Oh, I never did that… My parents were always super strict about it and I never even dared to try XD
I guess they forgot to make me scared of tiny spinning blades too, though hahaha

  5. Congrats on your award! It’s certainly well deserved 😀 I used to be straight up addicted to Arizona in high school. I think I almost had it every day in during both my junior and senior years haha. Lion King is always a fabulous choice and Rapunzel, Ariel, and Mulan are certainly my favorite princesses too. They’re all so sassy and independent 😉 Even though I haven’t read the 50 Shades of Grey series, I wish they had never been written either. It kills me every time someone talks about it haha. And you’re right. Bumblebee IS a cute word ahaha. The Obama/Biden memes are gold. Wish I had a friendship like that LOL. Great post, Sophie! 😀

    1. Thanks, Azia! ^^ Arizona is life ❤ I can never get too much of that stuff.
I love sassy characters, especially if they're girls. Their spunk and attitude is just so entertaining. I read bits and pieces of 50 Shades of Grey because I wanted to know just how bad it was. I laughed my butt off and then shook my head and kind of went on with my life unharmed XD
Right?? There will never be another broship like that with any other president.
      Thanks again! ❤

      1. Never haha. And sass is the best. So fun to watch lol. I think I might wanna try 50 Shades, just so I can roast it in a post XD
Sadly, no 😦 But it was great to witness while it lasted!
        Of course! ❤
