Ringing In The New Year Tag

ringing-in-the-new-year-tag1

Another New Year tag! These are actually quite nice to get you pumped for what’s to come, or at least, they are for me. What better way to get you motivated than by writing it on your blog and having it on display for the next twelve months as a reminder? Yup, it helps!

Thank you so much to Debby @ alwaysbooking for tagging me for this! Please check out her blog, she has such lovely book reviews and a lot of interesting tags 🙂

Best book/series you’ve read in 2016?

This is so hard! I read a lot of great series and books… But I’ll have to go with The Lunar Chronicles as I think it was the one I was most emotionally involved with. Maybe. I don’t really know… I just had a lot of feelings this past year!

Authors that you’ve recently found and would like to read more of in the new year

Leigh Bardugo is by no means a new author but I only just recently read the Grisha trilogy, so… Definitely have my sights on Six of Crows and Wonder Woman!

Most anticipated book turned TV/Movie show

It’s not yet set in stone and pre-production has not even started, but BBC is apparently turning His Dark Materials into a TV show! I’m so excited, even though it may or may not come out this year! Fingers crossed!!

Name a character that you wouldn’t mind sharing a kiss with at midnight

Hum, should I unfurl the list now? Just kidding. (Not really) But maybe Wolf from The Lunar Chronicles.

What’s on my TBR for 2017?

I have about 950 books. Yeah, I don’t really keep a specific TBR for a certain year or month. I just go along with whatever I feel like reading at the time. And yes, it makes things as chaotic as you may imagine.

How many books do you plan to read in 2017?

My current goal is 60, because that’s a semi-comfortable number for me and it’s been tried and tested hahaha. We’ll see!

Will you participate in the Goodreads reading challenge or any other?

I will indeed. Not sure about the other challenges but I’d love to!

Any New Year’s resolutions (bookish, blogging, or otherwise)?

I already mentioned some in my 2016/2017 Tag, so to keep from repeating myself I’ll name a few different ones. Bookishly speaking, I’d like to maybe surpass my Goodreads challenge (if possible), read books out of my comfort zone/less popular ones (I already have some in mind) and write a lot more ARC reviews. Life-wise, I’d love to get healthier habits such as eating better, drinking more water, working out, spending more time with friends and family and being as stress-free as possible.

Time to TAG!

Sorry if you’ve already been tagged! As always, you don’t have to do this tag if you don’t want to.

Thank you so much for reading! See you around 🙂

Any plans for this year? Let me know in the comments! ヾ(^ヮ^)ノ

    1. Me too! Thank you again for tagging me! ❤ I had the greatest time coming up with the answers 🙂
And really? He is literally the best love interest in the whole series, and the sweetest character! At least in my opinion. He's definitely my favorite too ^_^
But I guess Thorne gets all the credit because he's so charming hahaha

  1. I didn’t know about His Dark Materials!! That is so exciting, I am currently listening to the first book on audiobook. I read it years ago, and now want to continue the series so I decided to listen to the first book, I couldn’t remember anything that happened.

    1. Yeah I feel that way too! The story is so rich and complex, I feel like I forgot all the tiny, important details.
Definitely want to re-read it but it’s such a big commitment… All I know is I loved it and will probably love the TV show too, once it comes out 🙂 (please let it come out soon!)

  2. Wow! That’s a very long TBR list! For some reason it made me glad that I only have around 200 books on my TBR. I don’t think I can handle almost a thousand books. You’re so booknerd! Haha!

    Thanks for the tag! 😀

    1. Hahaha no problem 🙂 And yeah, it does feel overwhelming at times but I feel no obligation to read any of them if I don’t want to, so it’s fine. I just like to have a lot to choose from.
      And thanks, I guess! 😛

  3. Cute tag! Lunar Chronicles is always a great choice and Leigh Bardugo is queen. I cannot wait to see what you think of Six of Crows. Such an amazing book! And your TBR list almost gave me a heart attack. So many books!!!

    1. I get a mini heart attack every time I see it hahaha! But I haven’t cleaned it up in the longest time so there’s a lot of stuff I probably don’t want to read anymore…
Definitely need to do that Down The TBR Hole tag! Or else I’ll be doomed 😆

      1. The Down the TBR meme is really helpful! My list has reduced drastically since I began. I never knew how many random books i had on there LOL. Give it a try! I’d love to see some of the books you have on your TBR 😀
